Meet Coach Ryan
The founder and programmer for RDH Endurance Training. He calls the Salmon River Mountains of Idaho his home. In addition to his UESCA Ultra Running Coach certification , Coach Ryan also has his CrossFit Level 2 Trainer certification.
With over 15 Ultra Race completions, some of his most notable races are the Bear 100 miler, Crazy Mountain 100, Eastern States 100 and the former Frozen Otter. In 2020, Coach Ryan decided to create the Anti Racism 100. An 100 mile run to raise awareness and funds for the Chicago Torture and Justice Center which helps survivors of police torture and violence. The event raised over $7000.

WHAT RUNNERS ARE SAYING:
I reached out to Coach Ryan when I first started having thoughts of running a 100k. He was a teammate of mine in college and brought an immense amount of enthusiasm and camaraderie to our crew back then, so I knew that those traits, combined with his coaching skills, would be just what I needed to get me to the starting line of my first 100k. The journey was more than I ever could have expected. His weekly workouts sent through Training Peaks made it very clear what I needed to do, but if I ever had any questions or concerns, he was right there to help. When being a mother and full-time career woman conflicted with the schedule, he worked with me to find ways to still get the work done and keep moving forward in my fitness. As race day approached, he gave me confidence that I was going to be ready for the challenge by talking fueling, sleep, forever pace, and most importantly, enjoyment of the adventure. Race day was a dream come true. It wasn’t the perfect day, but with the tools he gave me I was able to troubleshoot the heat, nausea, lows, and just keep moving and trusting in the process.
